TicketBridge is an independent English-language educational publication about the history of tickets: how they originated, how technologies and markets changed them, and how people have bought, sold, transferred, and collected them.
Purpose
Tickets are ordinary objects with an unusually broad history. They connect printing, transport, theatre, sport, popular entertainment, computing, consumer policy, and design. Our aim is to make those connections understandable without turning the subject into a sales pitch.
What TicketBridge is not
TicketBridge is not a ticket marketplace, broker, comparison service, authentication provider, transfer platform, escrow service, or venue. It does not list, buy, sell, reserve, value, or guarantee admission for tickets.
Editorial approach
We begin with dated objects and institutional evidence, distinguish company histories from industry-wide history, label approximate dates, and link to sources readers can inspect. Broad timelines are presented as orientation rather than universal invention dates.
Corrections
Historical interpretation improves through scrutiny. Send a source, date correction, or clearly described concern to contact@tlcketnetwork.net. See our sources and methodology for more detail.
